The Protected Designation of Origin of the Marron of San Zeno has obtained European registration under EC Regulation n. 1979/2003 of the European Commission, of 11/11/2003 (published in the EU Official Gazette (GUCE) n. L 294 del 12/11/2003) and entry in the register of protected designations of origin and of protected geographic indications according to MiPAF (Ministry for Agriculture, Food and Forests) regulations of 18/11/2003 (published in the Italian Official Gazette, GURI, n 284 of 06/12/2003). In virtue of MiPAF decree of 29/09/2004 (published in the Italian Official Gazette n.250 of 23/10/2004) authorization has been granted to the controlling body, known as "CSQA Certificazioni Srl", to carry out all necessary verifications on the designation under examination.
